Ulanzi ZJ08 Boom Camera-Arm For Microphone w/ Cable | Give your microphone a dedicated position

Without a dedicated arm, a microphone can end up wherever there’s room beside the camera. The Ulanzi ZJ08 is a boom camera-arm for a microphone, giving it a defined place in a camera-based recording setup. It suits people making talking-head videos, recording interviews or presenting to camera who want their microphone positioned as part of the setup rather than left elsewhere. The product name also specifies a cable, so the arm is offered in a cable-equipped version; there’s no cable length or connector detail to rely on here. This is a straightforward accessory for organising where the microphone sits while you record. Its purpose is specific: it’s an arm for microphone use with a camera setup, not a microphone or an audio recorder. If you’re arranging a simple desk recording space, it can help make microphone placement part of your setup from the start.

Specialist Note

“Can I use the ZJ08 to bring my microphone into a talking-head frame?” Yes—that’s the job its boom camera-arm design is made for. I’d consider it for a sit-down interview too, where setting the microphone in a consistent position can make the recording setup easier to repeat. The product name specifies a cable as well, which is useful when you’re planning the mic and camera together rather than treating the cable as an afterthought. It’s aimed at people who already have a microphone and want an arm for it; it doesn’t replace the mic itself. I’d keep the cable details in mind when planning your layout.
