Urth 49mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro
Urth 49mm Variable ND2 32 Filter Pro | Adjustable light control for changing scenes
Its variable ND2–32 range is the defining choice: instead of carrying several fixed-strength neutral-density filters, you can adjust how much light the filter reduces across a useful range. That suits photographers and filmmakers who want more control over exposure in bright conditions, especially when they’re working with moving water or want to keep a wider aperture outdoors. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you room to choose a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture without changing the scene itself. The 49mm size makes it a specific fit for lenses that take 49mm filters, so it’s worth matching the filter diameter to the marking on your lens. This Pro version is a straightforward option when you want variable ND control in that size. Its appeal is practical: one filter range to work with, rather than a single fixed reduction that may not suit every scene.
Specialist Note
The adjustable range gives you room to respond as the light changes, rather than stopping to swap between fixed ND strengths. For a stream or waterfall, use a slower shutter speed to soften the water, then adjust the ND setting until the exposure is where you want it. In bright daylight, it can also help you keep a wider aperture for a shallower depth of field. The ND2–32 range is the key here: it offers more than one level of light reduction, so you can fine-tune instead of committing to a single strength. The 49mm diameter is also a firm limit; it suits lenses with a 49mm filter thread, not every lens in your kit.
