Urth 77mm CPL Lens Filter Pro
Urth 77mm CPL Lens Filter Pro | Control reflections and deepen skies
Reflections on water, glass or shiny leaves can distract from the subject, while a bright sky may look pale in a photograph. The Urth 77mm CPL Lens Filter Pro is a circular polarising filter: rotate it as you look through the camera to adjust how much reflected light it suppresses. That makes it handy for outdoor scenes where you want more detail in water or a window, or a stronger-looking blue sky. The effect depends on your position relative to the light, so it’s something to adjust for each composition rather than set once and forget. The 77mm size is the key fit detail: it’s intended for lenses that take 77mm filters. It suits photographers who want direct control over reflections in-camera, instead of relying on editing to change their appearance later. It won’t remove every reflection, but it gives you a way to manage them as you frame.
Specialist Note
“Will this help with reflections in shop windows?” Yes, it can reduce them, and you can turn the CPL while watching the scene to find the effect you prefer. The 77mm marking matters at the counter: your lens needs to accept a 77mm filter, so check the filter size printed on the lens. For a view across a lake, rotate the filter until surface glare eases and more of the water shows; for a blue sky, adjust it while framing with the sun off to one side. The effect changes with your angle, and some reflections will remain. I’d choose it when you want that control while taking the photograph.
