Westcott L60-B Bi-Colour COB LED 3-LIGHT Backpack Kit

Westcott L60-B Bi-Colour COB LED 3-LIGHT Backpack Kit | Plan a three-light setup

Westcott L60-B Bi-Colour COB LED 3-LIGHT Backpack Kit is a bi-colour COB LED kit built around a three-light setup. It’s aimed at photographers and small production teams who want to plan a shoot with several light sources rather than build around a single light. The name also points to a backpack format, which suits people who prefer to think about their lighting as a kit they can carry between locations. In the studio, three lights give you room to consider separate roles for a main light, fill and background, or to arrange a product scene with more than one area of emphasis. The bi-colour designation gives you another lighting characteristic to consider when planning a setup. One honest point: three lights can mean more decisions before you start shooting. If you enjoy shaping a scene deliberately, that’s part of the appeal.

Planning around three lights

For a portrait, you might plan one source for the subject, another to soften shadows, and a third to help give the background its own treatment. For product work, you can think about where highlights and shadows should fall across the object, then assign light sources to those jobs. These are starting points, not fixed rules; the subject, room and look you want all affect the arrangement.

The useful thing to keep in mind is the balance between having multiple sources available and keeping the setup manageable. Decide what each light is meant to do before placing them, then adjust the arrangement to suit the scene. The backpack-kit format makes the product relevant to photographers considering a kit organised for carrying, while the three-light configuration gives the planning a clear focus. It’s a straightforward concept: a bi-colour COB LED kit with three lights, for people who want to work with more than one source.
