Wooden Camera A00349 Rod Clamp Base 1/4-20 SmallHD
Wooden Camera A00349 Rod Clamp Base 1/4-20 SmallHD | A mounting base for rod-based setups
During a camera build, finding a place for SmallHD equipment within a rod-based setup can make the difference between a tidy rig and a crowded one. The Wooden Camera A00349 Rod Clamp Base is a tripod accessory for that kind of setup. Its name identifies the key details: it’s a rod clamp base for SmallHD, with a 1/4-20 mounting connection. That makes it relevant when you’re planning how to position SmallHD equipment as part of a camera or tripod arrangement, rather than looking for a general-purpose tripod head or support. The 1/4-20 detail gives you a specific connection to account for as you plan the build. If your setup already uses rods and SmallHD equipment, this is a clearly defined accessory to consider; it’s also worth keeping in mind that its stated purpose is specific to that arrangement, rather than a universal mounting solution.
Specialist Note
The 1/4-20 connection is the first detail I’d factor into a rig plan: it gives you a known mounting point to work around instead of leaving the attachment vague. This is named as a rod clamp base for SmallHD, so I’d consider it when you want to incorporate SmallHD equipment into a rod-based camera build, or organise that setup around a tripod. The useful part is the combination of a defined thread size and a clearly stated SmallHD purpose; that helps narrow down where it belongs in your kit. It’s a focused accessory, though, not a general base for every monitor or rig. I’d match it to the setup it’s intended for.
