Wooden Camera A00812 Quick-Disconnect Receiver 3/8-16 360º | Position off-camera flash with ease

More deliberate light on a portrait or product starts with getting your flash off the camera and where you want it. The Wooden Camera A00812 is a quick-disconnect receiver for a flash-trigger setup, intended to help fire off-camera flashes. It suits photographers who want to shape light for portraits or give small products more considered lighting, rather than relying on a flash mounted on the camera. Its 3/8-16 threaded connection and 360º designation make it a specific piece of a lighting setup, so you can plan how it fits into your support and how you want to position the light. Use it as part of a trigger arrangement with an off-camera flash: the receiver handles the trigger role, while the flash supplies the illumination. It’s a focused accessory for working with light direction, not a flash unit in itself.

Specialist Note

3/8-16 tells you the receiver’s threaded mounting connection, so match that point to the support you’re building your flash setup around. The 360º marking is useful when you want a full-circle range of positioning for the receiver in that setup. For a portrait, use it as part of an off-camera arrangement and move the flash to control how the light falls across the face; for a product shot, reposition the flash to bring out a shape or surface. I’d consider this for someone who already works with off-camera flash and wants a quick-disconnect receiver with these specific mounting details. Just remember, it triggers the flash; it doesn’t provide the light itself.
