XEEN CF 135mm T2.2 FF Cine Canon (Meter) | Long-reach framing with cinematic exposure control

Give a face or small on-screen detail its own space in the frame, with the background rendered less prominently. The XEEN CF 135mm T2.2 is a full-frame cinema prime for filmmakers who want a tight, deliberate view rather than the feel of a general-purpose lens. Its 135mm focal length and 18° angle of view make it well suited to isolated portraits, close framing from farther back, and carefully composed cutaways. The T2.2 maximum aperture gives you room to work in lower light and helps separate your subject from the background. Manual focus puts the focus pull under your control, which is useful when a shot needs a planned change of focus. This lens is best suited to video and filmmaking where you can choose the camera position and build the shot around its narrow view.

Specialist Note

The XEEN CF 135mm T2.2 is at its best for close, composed portraits and detail shots from a little distance. At T2.2, you can keep the exposure workable in dimmer scenes while giving a face more separation from what’s behind it; take care with focus, because that look leaves less room for error. Its 135mm focal length asks for space between camera and subject, so I’d plan it for a controlled setup rather than a cramped room. It suits filmmakers who like to shape a shot deliberately and pull focus by hand. For a scene that needs wide establishing views too, pair it with a wider focal length.
