Zhiyun 1/4 Thread Extension Ring TZ 003 For Crane 2
Zhiyun 1/4 Thread Extension Ring TZ 003 For Crane 2 | Add a threaded connection
Without a dedicated extension, adding a threaded connection to a gimbal can mean working around the setup you already have. The Zhiyun 1/4 Thread Extension Ring TZ 003 is a gimbal accessory made for the Crane 2, giving you a specific way to add a 1/4-thread point to that system. It suits Crane 2 owners who need that connection for an add-on that uses a 1/4 thread, rather than anyone looking for a general-purpose tripod part. Its strength is its focused job: extending the gimbal setup with a threaded fitting, so you can build around the Crane 2 for the accessory you have in mind. If your setup doesn't call for a 1/4-thread connection, this ring won't add much; when it does, it provides a straightforward, purpose-made option for the Crane 2.
Specialist Note
On a Crane 2 rig where I want a 1/4-thread point for an add-on, this is the sort of small, specific part I’d consider. The 1/4 thread gives you a defined screw-in connection, so you can use it with an accessory that has the matching thread. Its extension-ring design adds that connection to the Crane 2 setup, rather than asking you to change the gimbal you already use. I’d suggest it to a Crane 2 owner with a clear plan for a threaded accessory; it’s a focused piece, not an accessory in itself, so you’ll still need the separate item you want to attach.
